What are opportunities?

Opportunities are: events, paid jobs, services, collaborations, products for sale, and requests for assistance.

This may include short or long term projects, promotions or services. Opportunities can be paid or none paid. Once you connect with a music pro, make sure to ask all the relevant questions before committing.

Opportunities may be: paid jobs, partnerships / collaborations, events, professional services, products for sale, and requests for assistance.

Some examples are:

  • A&R professionals looking for music artists to work with
  • Music festivals searching for producers or artists
  • Music artists searching for bands to tours with
  • Musicians searching for partnerships
  • Venues searching for bands
  • Bands searching for members
  • Brand/company offering products or services at a discount
  • Radio/TV stations looking to work with music artists or professionals
  • Musicians looking to work with mixing & mastering engineers
  • Music managers looking for new music artists

Banned practices

Abusing Opportunities

All Opportunities posted on Daystage should be professional, relevant and respectful to users. Opportunities that are used in attempt to trick our review process are prohibited

Banned content

1. Fake offers

The sale or promotion of fake offers is strictly prohibited. Fake offers of products, services, partnerships or jobs in an attempt to cheat, or fraud Daystage users may lead to disqualification.

2. Impersonating a company, brand or person

We value honesty and fairness, so we don’t allow the promotion of products or services that are designed to enable dishonest behavior.Examples of products or services that enable dishonest behavior: Hacking software or instructions; services designed to artificially inflate ad or website traffic; fake documents; academic cheating services

3. Inappropriate content

We value diversity and respect for others, and we strive to avoid offending users, so we don’t allow ads or destinations that display shocking content or promote hatred, intolerance, discrimination, or violence.

Examples of inappropriate or offensive content: bullying or intimidation of an individual or group, racial discrimination, hate group paraphernalia, graphic crime scene or accident images, cruelty to animals, murder, self-harm, extortion or blackmail, sale or trade of endangered species, ads using profane language


Daystage requires that all opportunities meet high quality professional and editorial standards in order to provide a quality user experience. We only allow opportunities that are clear, useful, and professional.



The following isn’t allowed:

 Incorrect use of capitalization

Example: Excessive use of capitalization, for example: MUSIC, MUsiC, M-U-S-I-C, M.U.S.I.C


Style and spelling

The following isn’t allowed:

 Opportunities that don’t use commonly accepted grammar or spelling

Example: “Artist music musician” instead of “Music artist ” or “Musician”

Opportunities that are incomprehensible or don’t make sense

Example: Gibberish or overly generic text.


Punctuation and symbols

The following isn’t allowed:

 Punctuation or symbols that aren’t used properly

Examples: Repeated exclamation marks or other punctuation symbols such as pr0ducer, musici@n, Music!!!!, m-u-s-i-c, M$SIC

 Invalid or unsupported characters

Example: Emojis



The following is not allowed:

 Non-standard or unnecessary repetition of names or words

Example: Repeated product or service name


Unacceptable spacing

The following isn’t allowed:

 Removing a space or adding extra spaces

Examples: “live,music event”; “Live, music event”

 Excessive use of spacing

Examples: m u s i c, livemusicevent


Phone number in ad text

The following isn’t allowed:

 Entering a phone number in opportunity

Example: Including “Call 800-111-2222” in the opportunity text


Misuse of opportunities

The following isn’t allowed:

 Opportunities that do not use the features of the opportunity for its intended purpose

Example: Opportunities that do not contain a valid music opportunity for the Daystage Community, such as paid jobs, live events, services, products, or assistance.
